About E Ride Pro Guide
This site exists because buying an E Ride Pro electric motorcycle
in Europe is more complicated than it should be.
What Is E Ride Pro?
E Ride Pro was founded in Placentia, California by a group of engineers driven by a passion for off-road adventure and renewable technology. Their goal was to build high-performance electric motorcycles that were not only robust and reliable, but also ergonomic and genuinely fun to ride.
The brand started R&D in 2021 and launched its first bikes in late 2023, starting with the E Ride Pro S and SS. Since then it has grown into a globally recognized brand and a leader in the electric dirt bike and e-moto segment.
Today the lineup covers six models: the E Ride Pro S, SS 2.0, SS 3.0, SR, Mini and Mini R. They range from compact beginner-friendly e-motos to flagship machines like the SR, with 25 kW of peak power and L3e motorcycle homologation available for European roads.
Why We Built This Site
Buying an E Ride Pro in Europe comes with real questions that the manufacturer website does not answer. Which model suits my riding style and licence? What is the difference between L1e and L3e homologation? Which European dealer offers the best warranty and price? How does real-world range compare to the claimed figures? We built this guide to answer all of them, independently, without a commercial agenda.
What You Will Find Here
Every current E Ride Pro model is covered in detail with full specifications, honest performance assessments and a clear breakdown of who each bike is for. A side-by-side specs comparison lets you quickly see how the S, SS 2.0, SS 3.0 and SR differ on power, range, weight and price. Our EU homologation guide explains in plain English the difference between L1e, L3e and off-road classifications, what licence you need and how registration works in Germany, France, Spain and other EU countries. The dealer comparison is updated regularly and covers pricing, warranty terms, delivery speed and after-sales support across authorised European retailers.
Our Approach
We do not sell E Ride Pro bikes. We do not take money from dealers to rank them higher. Every score in our dealer comparison is based on the same criteria: price, warranty length, delivery, language support and verified buyer feedback. When we have criticism of a model or a dealer, we say so. We think that is more useful than another glossy product page.
L1e models are software-limited to 45 km/h. L3e models have manufacturer-defined limits depending on the specific model E Ride Pro.
Approximately 500–600 full charge cycles, or about 50,000–60,000 km until the battery loses around 20% of its original capacity. Proper care helps extend battery life.
Yes, the battery is rated IP67, but full immersion is not recommended. Pressure washers can force water into the battery case and connectors, so we strongly recommend removing the battery before pressure washing. Always follow the care instructions for your specific model.
Many factors influence range: speed, rider weight, elevation/gradient, tire pressure, and more. One of the most important factors is speed—if you double your speed, energy consumption can increase by roughly four times.
Average energy consumption is around 0.04 kWh per km at 45 km/h. With a 4 kWh battery, expected range is about 100 km. With a 2 kWh battery, expected range is about 50 km.
The bike E Ride Pro charges from a standard household 220V outlet.
For L1e, an AM licence (or category B) is sufficient. For L3e, you need a motorcycle licence such as A1, A2, or A.
No. Only bikes E Ride Pro with road certification in the L1e or L3e category can be used legally on public roads. Other models are for off-road riding, private property, or closed sporting events.
L1e can be ridden with an AM license or category B, and it is limited to 45 km/h. L3e requires at least an A1 motorcycle license (or higher) and is not legally limited to 45 km/h (top speed depends on the model/manufacturer settings).
In most cases, there are no technical differences, except for software limits on speed/power and the documentation for different vehicle categories. For example, the E Ride Pro SR L1e and L3e are technically identical; the difference is only in the documents supplied.
E Ride Pro and Sur-Ron compete directly in the mid-range e-moto segment. The E Ride Pro SS 2.0 offers comparable power to the Sur-Ron LBX at a similar price, with some differences
in component choice and parts availability. We cover this in detail in our comparison article.
EU consumer law entitles buyers to a 24-month warranty. Most authorised European dealers apply this as standard, compared to the 1-year warranty available in the US market.
Depending on the model, range varies from approximately 60 km (E Ride Pro S) to over 160 km (E Ride Pro SR) under optimal conditions. Real-world range is lower at higher speeds.
The E Ride Pro SR is the flagship model with 25 kW of peak power. In off-road configuration, it is one of the most powerful production e-motos currently available.
Yes — in Europe, E Ride Pro models are available with L1e (moped, up to 45 km/h) or L3e (motorcycle) homologation from authorised dealers, making them road-legal with the appropriate licence. Off-road versions are also available.
